Our Fantastic Spastic, Bourke Gibbons, is a well known figure in Sydney's seaside suburb of Manly.
As the rivers of tourists flow off the ferry each day and babble their way along Manly's Corso, the 300 metre route from the harbour to the ocean beach, they pass Bourke, who for more than 15 years has sat at the midway point selling pens to raise money for deaf children.
The locals know Bourke well, and many know that he has represented Australia twice in the  Paralympics, and that he has received The Order of Australia Medal for his work for charity, but few know Bourke's real story.

Now this likeable larrikin with a heart of gold, has told his amazing story. Read it now for yourself and be inspired.
